A Swiss with Bavarian roots – or perhaps a water sprite floating over the world’s waters? –, one thing is certain about Emanuel Reiter: He is a born songwriter, a word-turner, a ditty-smith, someone who can wrap thoughts and events into light-footed, flying, flowing, yet compellingly precise words and good melodies. In the beginning, he simply wrote three-chord songs; today, things look quite different, as the artist likes to say with humorous understatement. On stage, the singer-songwriter has a very strong band behind him, playing dynamically and turning his songs into widescreen cinema.
