Somewhere between theatre light, film sound and song, Florian Paul and his Kapelle der letzten Hoffnung do their strange work. Paul was born in Schwelm in 1995: first cello, then TheaterTotal in Bochum, later composition for film and media in Munich. Since 2019, he has been sailing with the Kapelle across the world seas of sound: saxophone, keys, chanson, rock, jazz, pop, fantastic tilt, plenty of night air, a little dance hall, a little harbour bar, a little cinema just before the great rain. The band has played the Tipi am Kanzleramt, the Bar jeder Vernunft, the Pantheon in Bonn. From the second album «Auf Sand gebaut», Paul also made a film under his own direction; «Endlich unsterblich» approaches him and his band as a documentary. The productions are called «Dazwischen», «Auf Sand gebaut», «Alles wird besser». Now this Kapelle comes to Kleinbasel, onto the Rhine: last hope, full speed ahead, foghorn in the heart, searchlights on the water.
