On his eighth birthday, Krissy received his first electric guitar. The initial musical influence on this British-Norwegian boy came from his father, who taught him instrumental pieces by The Shadow. But soon enough, he jumped into another stream, them Blues. At the age of 13, he released his first album. Just before that, Matthews raided the dressing room of blues-godfather John Mayall after one of his concerts and handed the demigod his demo recordings. Mayall immediately dragged him onto the stage and let him jam during the encore set. Now, at the age of 31, Krissy has become a magnificent, seasoned blues rocker who constructs highly creative songs, surpassing the all-too-familiar clichés of the genre. His guitar sound, his solo lines, and phrasings sound urgent, highly explosive, wisely structured - like speedboats racing through the bay of them Blues.
